Hi! I'm Willow, a transgender licensed massage therapist with a passion for my community. Receiving bodywork can be daunting for many gender expansive folks, and my mission is to break down barriers that may be keeping you from giving your body the self care it deserves. All bodies and all identities are welcome on my table.
When I first enrolled in massage school, I wasn't sure what I was getting myself into. As a young trans person, the prospect of lying under a sheet in a room full of a dozen other people was daunting to say the least. Still, some part of me felt called to the work. I had spent much of my life up to that point hiding from my body, but two years into my transition, I was beginning to recognize the potential for joy in a relationship with my body.
I attended the Colorado School of Healing Arts' 720-hour massage therapy program in 2023. During my time there, I learned not only the practical skills of therapeutic bodywork but also a way to channel my empathy and love for my community. Anatomy and physiology classes showed me how science is affirming to the trans experience, while hands-on massage time taught me that the mind-body connection is far more intricate, powerful, and personal than can be described in a textbook.
The journey of falling in love with my body has had its ups and downs, throughout which massage and other bodywork has been an anchor for me. I find that the more I show love and care to my body, the better equipped I am to handle dysphoria when it comes.
Since graduating, I have been working to further my skills and find my groove. While I am confident in my work, I consider myself forever a student of my craft. Every client who gets on my table comes with a totally unique bodily experience, and being welcomed as a partner in their self-care is an honor that enriches my practice. I am excited and grateful to be able to share the power of healing touch with my community.
